Prepare Now.
When Disaster Strikes, It’s Too Late to Plan!

This session of Leon County's Citizen Engagement Series will focus on building community preparedness and resilience to withstand man-made and natural disasters.

Leon County will convene nonprofit partners, preparedness experts, Emergency Management staff, and other community members to discuss various topics such as disaster preparedness, emergency communication, and the importance of having an evacuation plan.

You will have a chance to engage and learn from public safety experts and leaders in Emergency Management.

This interactive, hands-on event puts disaster preparedness front-and-center just before the start of hurricane season. There will also be an opportunity to leave with some critical disaster preparedness supplies, such as a weather radio and more.

Open to all Leon County residents, those interested in the session can register by visiting www.LeonCountyFL.gov/CES. Registration closes Friday, May 26 at 5 p.m. Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

This event is part of a series of events throughout May and June to increase citizen’s preparedness. Held since 2012, Leon County’s recurring national award-winning series engages citizens in new and interesting ways with County programs and services.
