Tallahassee-Leon County Water Atlas

The City of Tallahassee and Leon County have partnered with the University of South Florida to create the new Tallahassee-Leon County (TLC) Water Atlas website. The TLC Water Atlas provides a gateway to help interested citizens, educators, students and professionals access local data and information about our community’s natural water resources.  The website is designed with user-friendly technology to view data, such as local lake and stream water quality reports and rainfall levels, as well as information about recreational opportunities and a library of scientific and educational materials on water resource issues.

Typically, scientists and citizens who are interested in learning more about the local water resources have found it difficult to gather the information they need from the myriad of agencies that collect the related data. To solve this problem, the Water Atlas was conceived as a "one stop information shop" for concerned citizens and scientists alike.  The TLC Water Atlas functions as a warehouse for a variety of water resources information, including interactive mapping tools, documents and educational links. We have also strived to make the Atlas a rich resource that educates citizens about the data presented and gives water resource professionals easy access to the specialized information they need. We encourage you to use the Atlas as a tool to help in preserving and improving our vital water resources.

How You Can Help!

On the home page of the TLC Water Atlas website you’ll find the How You Can Help section where anyone can submit photos, documents, and historical information that may be posted on the TLC Water Atlas.
