This year was the FIFTH year of our Trash Dash 5K Run! And this year was the first year for our race to be chip-timed - a great advantage for runners. And another perfect day for a race! We are once again indebted to Leon County for partnering with us to provide facility support at the cross country track at the Apalachee Regional Park on Apalachee Parkwayand and to Gulf Winds Track Club for logistical support. We especially thank our event sponsors for their generous financial support and
commitment to Sustainable Tallahassee’s mission. Our sponsors enable Sustainable Tallahassee
to continue our quest to make our community a healthy model for sustainability, and we
are truly grateful. | David Yon wrote a great article about the race with wonderful references to Sustainable Tallahassee’s mission, published in the Tallahassee Democrat. Be sure to read it here: 2015 David Yon Trash Dash article in Democrat TLH.pdf. And Herb Wills followed with another terrific article about the race, including some play-by-play of the winning runs – read it here: 2015 Herb Wills Trash Dash article in Tallahassee Democrat.pdf. Many thanks to David and Herb for creating more interest in the Trash Dash! |
