Local Farmers, Markets, and Food Purveyors

Leon County Community Green Map - includes locations on a map of community gardens, local farms, and local farmers markets.

Downtown Tallahassee Farmers' and Produce Market - Farmers Market every Saturday for most of the year except for a few winter months.  Also features local artists and musicians.  

Tallahassee Farmer’s Market – 1415 Timberlane Road @ Market Square, year-round, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday 8:00 AM – 3:0 PM.

Growers’ Markets – Local markets where items for sale are grown by the seller.  The largest growers’ market is at Lake Ella every Wednesday, year-round from 3:00 PM until dusk.  

Turkey Hill Farm - Turkey Hill Farm is a 90-acre farm located in eastern Leon featuring Certified Naturally Grown vegetables including shiitake mushrooms, garlic, greens, and tomatoes. 

Magnolia Farms - Magnolia Farms is a north Florida working farm participating in Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) where local consumers can purchase a share of their seasonal crops.  They also have workshops and festivals held at the farm. 

Ladybird Organics and Monticello Vineyards & Winery - Ladybird Organics grows organic grapes, persimmons, pecans, pears, wheatgrass and microgreens and also features eggs, worms, and worm castings. Monticello Vineyards & Winery is a small Florida farm winery housed at Ladybird Organics.

O’Toole’s - O'Toole's Herb Farm is a certified organic herb nursery and garden selling wholesale and retail herbal plants, fresh-cut herbs and greens, and shiitake mushrooms. They also have a gift shop, public gardens & greenhouses and hold workshops and festivals.

White Oak Pastures - White Oak Pastures is a regional producer of grass-fed beef that is touted to be more healthy & sustainable than commercially-available beef.

Community Coop Market - Community Coop Market is a cooperatively-owned business providing natural foods to Tallahassee including organic and local produce, natural groceries, organic wine and beer, supplements, vitamins and body care products.

Bread and Roses Food Coop - 915-2 Railroad Avenue  Across from the Amtrak Station.  A local cooperative-owned food market featuring vegetarian and vegan options and fresh produce.

Red Hills Online Market – An innovative way to receive weekly produce! This market offers the convenience of shopping online, selecting the fresh produce your family wants, and being able to pay by credit card.   Orders can be picked up at designated locations around town. Produce is grown or produced within a 100 mile radius of Tallahassee. Shopping locally and supporting local businesses benefits the greater Tallahassee economy. The online Market also benefits growers/producers by taking the guesswork out of the farmers market model.    

Sweet Grass Dairy - Sweet Grass Dairy is a 140-acre family-owned and operated farm in southern Georgia featuring award-winning cheeses, made from the milk of their own goats and Jersey Cows.

Florida Bamboo - Florida farm growing and selling little-known varieties of bamboo to homeowners and landscapers in the area and educating consumers on the growth, care, propagation, and landscape effect of bamboo.
