Solar United Neighbors of Florida today announced the launch of Leon County Solar Co-op, which will provide homeowners with an opportunity
to save money on the purchase of solar panels and build a community of local
solar supporters.
The announcement was made at a press conference held appropriately
under the solar panels at the Leon County Extension Center.
Sustainable Tallahassee is one of the five local partners endorsing
the establishment of the Solar Co-op. The
others are: League of Women Voters of Tallahassee, Florida Conservation Voters

signed by all the Leon County Commissioners. She concluded by saying, “I really am proud of
Leon County’s work with all of our partners . . . to represent not just how big
of a challenge this is, but to look for strategic initiatives and real action
plans to make our community as sustainable as possible and resilient as
possible.”

information sessions for residents.
They'll be held on January 16, February 22, and March 27 - check those
