September's Green Drinks - by Sustainable Tallahassee

  • September 24, 2018
  • 5:30 PM
  • GrassLands Brewery, 603 West Gaines Street, Tallahassee

 Join Us at Green Drinks!

This month we have a special treat – an opportunity to learn about historical sustainability.  Our speaker is Johnathan Grandage, Executive Director of The Grove Museum in Tallahassee.

The restoration process of The Grove earned it LEED certification by the U.S. Green Building Council - a significant accomplishment for an historic home built in the 1830s, and a certification few other historic buildings have achieved.

We’ll have a chance to learn discoveries that were made about the sustainable features in the building’s original construction and how those have been restored and enhanced in the restoration.

Green Drinks gatherings combine
an opportunity for conversation,
meeting others interested in sustainability,
and hearing an interesting speaker
on a sustainability topic.

Come at 5:30 to greet old friends and meet others who share an interest in sustainability. The program begins at 6:00.

Where is GrassLands Brewery?  It’s on Gaines Street, in the block just west of Railroad Avenue, across from the Marriott Residence Inn building. Due to area construction, parking is limited, but is currently available across the street in the grass/dirt lot.    www.grasslandsbrewery.com
